Bampur River : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bampur River Bampur River is a river in southern Iran, flowing into the Baluchistan region. The Bampur River starts in the Karvandar Mountains and flows 120 kms flows past Damin, Bampur and Iranshah before disapating in the desert sands. The Bampur River is the largest and most important river in Baluchistan and has served as a highway through that arid region since the 3rd millennium BC〔Mohammd Mehdi Tavassoli, (Analysis of Spatial-Environmental Bronze Age Sites in Bampur Valley, Iran, with using GIS ), ''International Journal of Applied Science and Technology'' Vol. 2 No. 3; March 2012〕 ==History== The Bampur river Valley as been inhabited since the 3rd millennium BC when Bronze Age villages formed.〔Mehdi Mortazavi, ( The Bampur Valley: A New Chronological Development ).〕 The first Europeans to reach the Bampur River were Captain Grant and Sir Henry Pottinger in 1809. Sir Aurel Stein in visited the area in 1932.
